Job description

Your next role

Were looking for an experienced and highly motivated Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to lead the delivery of sprinkler installation projects across commercial, industrial, and retail environments.

In this role, you'll take ownership of projects from initial handover through to commissioning and final completion - ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, acting as a trusted technical expert and driving operational excellence throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge and proven project management experience within the fire protection industry.

What you will be doing

• Managing the full lifecycle of sprinkler installation projects from contract award to final handover.

• Developing and monitoring project programmes, budgets, resource plans, and procurement schedules.

• Coordinating with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.

• Leading project planning and progress meetings, providing clear communication and regular updates.

• Ensuring installations comply with relevant standards, specifications, regulations, and company procedures.

• Conducting site visits to monitor progress, quality, health & safety compliance, and productivity.

• Identifying commercial, technical, and operational risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

• Managing project costs, variations, change control processes, and overall financial performance.

• Reviewing labour requirements to ensure projects are appropriately resourced.

• Overseeing project documentation including QA records, commissioning documents, O&M manuals, and handover packs.

• Promoting a collaborative, solutionfocused culture across project teams.

• Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to operational excellence across the business.

A typical week might include:

• Visiting multiple sites to check progress and resolve technical or operational issues.

• Meeting with clients and contractors to review programmes, risks, and upcoming milestones.

• Updating project budgets, variations, and commercial documentation.

• Leading internal coordination meetings with design, service, and installation teams.

• Preparing commissioning documentation and handover packs for completed projects.

Who we are looking for

Were seeking someone with strong technical expertise, excellent organisational skills, and confidence leading complex projects.

Essential qualities include:

• Experience managing multiple sprinkler installation projects simultaneously.

• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

• Excellent understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and coordination.

• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and cost control.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Highly organised with strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.

• Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).

• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

• LPCB Basic or Advanced Qualification.

• SMSTS qualification.

• CSCS Manager Card.

• Experience in industrial, warehousing, or retail environments.
