Job description
Job summary
An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Critical Care team at Aintree Hospital as a Band 7 clinical coordinator. We are a 26 bedded critical care unit within a major trauma centre with a high volume of acute admissions from around the region. This is a rare chance for an ambitious, motivated and experienced critical care nurse to step into a senior leadership role within a fast-paced, high-performing environment where clinical excellence and patient outcomes are at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Senior Sister/Charge Nurse who thrives under pressure, demonstrates strong clinical leadership, and is driven to make a meaningful difference to both patient care and team development.

Main duties of the job
You will bring extensive, up-to-date experience within a Level 2/3 Critical Care environment and be able to demonstrate a consistently high standard of clinical practice at a minimum of Band 6 level. You will be an excellent communicator with strong leadership capability, able to coordinate complex clinical activity and support a large multidisciplinary team.

Whilst a degree qualification is desirable, we will welcome applications from individuals who can evidence significant critical care experience and readiness for a leadership role. Ideally, applicants will hold (or be working towards) Step 4 competencies.

You will be recognised for your proactive, collaborative and innovative approach, with a clear commitment to patient-centred care, service improvement and maintaining high clinical standards within a fast-moving environment.
