Job Description

Support the Head of Service in strategic management and co-ordination for the delivery of Council Services that achieve best value and deliver an efficient, sustainable, safe and customer focussed service in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Ayrshire Roads Alliance Plan and the Community Plan and South Ayrshire our People our Place.

The Individual

This is a permanent full time post based within the Transport Service, 34 Main Road, Crookedholm.

The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked:

Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm (with a 50 minute unpaid lunch break daily) & Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm (with a 40 minute unpaid lunch break)

The full time salary of the post is between £75,785 - £82,828 per annum.

The workstyle for this post is ‘Flexible’ - 50-79% of time is office based. Able to work at different/ multiple work locations. Occasionally works at home, or another location 1-2 days per week, or directly home to external appointments. It is the expectation that all office-based employees (with the exception of those working in schools) will work to the higher end of their allocated workstyle in terms of time spent in the office or at other work locations.

If your application is successful at the longleet stage, you will be required to attend a Virtual Assessment Centre on 25 August 2026. Candidates who are successful in the assessment process will be invited to a final interview on 2 October 2026. Please note that we are unable to change these dates.
