Position Overview
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant while maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction.
In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will assume responsibility for the operation, ensuring all areas perform efficiently and consistently in line with the client's standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day management of restaurant operations.
- Share responsibility for maintaining high staff morale and fostering a positive working environment.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, coaching, and development of restaurant team members.
- Ensure team members consistently meet operational and service standards.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles and preferences to deliver personalized service and exceed guest expectations.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and organization of the restaurant and back-of-house areas.
- Regularly review service standards and procedures, implementing improvements where necessary to maintain excellence.
- Participate in performance reviews, identifying training needs and supporting employee development.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with workforce planning and rota preparation based on business requirements.
- Recognize returning guests and ensure their preferences and expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

- Previous experience in a similar restaurant management or supervisory role.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
