Global Head of PR, UK & EMEA

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on communications leader to shape and drive PR strategy across the UK & EMEA.

The successful Global Head of PR, UK & EMEA will be personally engaged in media relationships, storytelling, and day-to-day execution, while also providing strategic counsel to senior leadership. Reporting into global leadership, this role will manage a team of 5-10 direct reports across multiple markets.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on external positioning, messaging, and reputation management. Translate global communications objectives into localized, high-impact PR programs that build awareness, reinforce brand trust, and support business growth across markets. Maintain a deep understanding of country-specific and regional business priorities, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and cultural nuances that influence corporate reputation. Develop a genuine, working understanding of the firm's commercial operations, including its service lines, client base, and sales and growth drivers.

Hands-On Execution
Remain personally hands-on in day-to-day PR delivery, including drafting materials, pitching stories, and engaging directly with journalists. Act as a senior strategist in the planning and execution of PR programs in partnership with regional and global communications teams, bringing forward creative and innovative approaches. Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of PR leads across multiple international markets.

Media & Relationship Management
Personally build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with business, trade, and national media across regions, identifying opportunities for earned coverage and executive visibility. Monitor and respond to media inquiries and requests for comment, ensuring messaging is consistent and reputation is protected. Guide the creation of localized press materials, media briefings, and commentary on market, workplace, and economic trends to enhance brand visibility and reputation. Provide media training and coaching to senior leaders to enhance confidence and effectiveness in interviews and public appearances.

Thought Leadership & Content
Collaborate with content and insights teams to leverage data, research, and industry trends to deliver thought leadership campaigns that resonate across markets. Translate research findings into compelling storytelling and multi-format content, such as press releases, bylines, and executive quotes, to drive awareness, engagement, and trust.

Crisis & Issues Management
Lead external communication planning and response during issues or crises, providing strategic counsel and alignment with corporate protocols. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on sensitive or high-profile matters impacting corporate reputation.

Team & Stakeholder Management
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 5-10 PR professionals across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones, fostering a cohesive approach despite geographic and cultural diversity. Work closely with global communications colleagues to support integrated global campaigns and shared messaging opportunities. Manage relationships with PR agencies and consultants, including oversight of performance, contracts, and budgets.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related discipline. 10+ years of progressive experience in public relations or corporate communications, including leadership and agency/vendor management. Proven success in leading PR strategy across multiple countries, within a global or professional services environment. Experience managing multi-cultural, geographically dispersed teams. Strong media relationships and a deep understanding of the European media landscape. Experience working within a publicly listed (PLC) organisation is desirable, given the distinct governance, disclosure, and reputational considerations involved.
