Job description
Clinical Nurse Specialist Pain Management
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pain Management Service at Barts Health, based at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Working alongside the Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Consultant Anaesthetists, you will contribute to the delivery of specialist inpatient and transitional pain services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pain nurse to further develop their expertise while helping to shape and improve the service.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a registered nurse with recent specialist pain management experience at Band 6 or 7 level and evidence of postgraduate study in pain management. The successful candidate will be committed to compassionate, person-centred care and a biopsychosocial approach, recognising the physical, psychological and social factors that influence a person's pain experience. Excellent assessment, communication and multidisciplinary working skills are essential, together with a commitment to shared decision-making.

The role includes contributing to service development, quality improvement and innovation projects that enhance patient outcomes and experience. We are looking for a motivated practitioner who is passionate about improving the lives of people living with pain, demonstrates leadership in clinical practice, and is keen to support the ongoing development of a progressive, patient-centred pain management service.
