Teaching Assistant – Caterham

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Caterham. You’ll be supporting pupils in the classroom, helping them build confidence and making sure every child feels included, encouraged and ready to learn.
No two days will be exactly the same, but one thing is certain, your support will make a real difference.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils with their learning in the classroom
- Working one-to-one and with small groups
- Helping pupils stay focused, engaged and confident
- Supporting the class teacher with activities and lesson preparation
- Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong relationships
- Adapting support to meet individual learning needs
- Creating a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment
We’d love to hear from you if you have
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- A patient, caring and positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The confidence to support pupils with different learning needs
- A genuine passion for helping children grow and succeed
Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be an advantage, but the right attitude, empathy and willingness to learn are just as important.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
