Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a clinical advisor for beds and pressure relieving / redistributing equipment. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, well organised and work within an extremely fast paced environment.

This post is for and a half hours per week, (working pattern open to discussion) and would ideally suit an Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Main duties of the job

To provide a single point of access for the authorisation of beds and pressure area care equipment via ICES. To be a resource on matters related to beds and pressure area care equipment for ICES commissioners, contract managers and provider, and for clinicians and prescribers using ICES.

You may be required, as part of the role, to deliver training on care equipment to CPFT community nurses and carry out home visits where necessary, for example to fit a tilting device.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as your ability to work well within a team, although some independent working is anticipated using own initiative and judgement, maintaining effective relationships and personal resilience to manage under pressure and in challenging situations where conflict may arise.

The post holder will need to have good problem solving skills, be creative and innovative in approach, identifying and anticipating any issues that may arise, working closely with colleagues to help find solutions to problems that can arise in the management of bed mattresses.
