Job description
Our mission at Sciensus is simple: to give patients control of their health through knowledge, choice, convenience and connection.

We're looking for a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse to join our Clinical Operations team, delivering high-quality oncology care and education across hospital, community and homecare settings.

This is a unique role that combines direct patient care with professional development and clinical leadership. You'll work closely with patients receiving oncology therapies while supporting and mentoring fellow clinicians to ensure the highest standards of practice.

Seeing between 1 - 8 patients per day, you will record all clinical data and document any adverse drug events via the correct protocol. Long lasting relationships will be built with patients, carers and stakeholders to aide and support treatment and recovery.

A full UK driving licence is essential as you will travel throughout a regional area (covering Newcastle and surrounding areas)

What’s in it for you?
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients living with cancer.
  • Diverse role combining clinical practice, education and leadership.
  • Ability to work across community, homecare and hospital settings.
  • Influence the development and success of clinical teams.
  • Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
  • Work within a patient-focused organisation driven by quality, innovation and care.

Who we're looking for
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate oncology professional who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care while helping others develop their clinical expertise.

Essential qualifications
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN), Part 1 NMC Register.
  • Recognised Chemotherapy Delivery Qualification.

Essential experience
  • Significant experience administering oncology medications in a hospital or community setting.
  • Clinical teaching, coaching or mentoring experience.

Key skills
  • Strong clinical assessment skills.
  • IV administration, cannulation and phlebotomy expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex clinical information in a clear and patient-friendly way.
  • Strong understanding of oncology therapies and patient pathways.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and clinical excellence.

Who we are?
Sciensus is a leading European life sciences organisation with over 30 years of experience, helping over 240,000 patients a year gain access to beneficial treatments and life-changing medicines. We empower patients with digital tools like the Sciensus Intouch app, to take control of their treatments, report on symptoms and quality of life, and access support through their care journey. We blend this with personalised support services from our team of over 700 licensed clinical staff. Whether we’re delivering cancer treatment in someone’s home or showing patients how to self-administer medicines, the human-touch care we provide helps patients make the most of their treatment.

What do we offer?
We work hard to make sure colleagues feel motivated, developed, and recognised for the great work they do.

Offering a salary starting from £40,500, and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • Company car or car allowance £4887.50
  • NMC fees reimbursed
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Contribution based pension scheme
  • Employee benefits platform (retailer discounts and much more)
  • Life insurance
  • Private medical insurance (after qualifying period)
  • Refer a friend scheme
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Annual company event
  • Yearly pay reviews
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Tech Scheme
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme
  • Portfolio of well-ness initiatives
