Engineering Manager

Keyresponsibilitiesandduties:

• Develop and maintain a competent Technical Support Engineering team.

• Governance and Control of allEngines BU Engineering Process andProcedures, ensuring regular updates are propagated effectively.

• Develops andimplements policies, standards andprocedures fortheengineering and technical work performed in the department;

• Assigns,coordinatesandreviewsthetechnicalwork ofthedepartment;

• Coordinates and liaiseswith various departments toresolve any difficult or continuing problems and ensures operational standards and goals are achieved;

• Leads and participates intheresolutionofproblems and thereinforcement of continuous improvement;

• Enables a team of Tech support Engineers to prepare detailed work instructions for repair ofgasturbine enginesto ensure compliance with approved maintenance data andcustomer requirements;

• Accountableforthe control, measures andimprovementsoftheNon-ConformanceInvestigation Process within the Engines Business Unit

• Ensures the Tech Support Engineering team provides interpretation and clarificationof overhaul data; produces material review board, temporary overhaul data requirement, unit build standards, and engineeringbill ofmaterials documentation tosupport operational repair andoverhaul processes;

• Ensures the Tech support Engineering team review airworthiness directives, service bulletins and manual changes toincorporate amendments into production;

• Mayparticipate directly inthedesign, development andinspection oftechnical projects or in the engineering work of the department;

• Leadsrepairandimprovementschemestogetherwithfeasibilitystudies;

• Conductsanalysistoensure thesiteengineshop operationscontinuetooperatein a cost-effectivemannerastechnological,legal,regulatory,policy andproductchanges are implemented;

• Exercisesauthorityinhiring, training,careerdevelopment,performance appraisal, salaryadjustments,promotion, discipline,health,safety andthegeneralemployee relations of direct reports;

• Ensures the Technical Library staff are competent and up-to-date on publications revisions sent out for verification and validation to the Technical Support Engineers, EAB Engineers and Component Repair Engineers

• Ensures regular interval work instruction reviews.

• Carriesoutspecialprojectsasassigned;

• Activelyparticipatesasamemberoftheappropriatemanagementteam(s),assisting withthedevelopmentandrealization ofdepartmentalstrategicplans,budgets,goals and outcomes;

• AdherencetoourQualityManagement Systems(QMS), SafetyManagement Systems(SMS),EnvironmentalManagementSystems(EMS)andallassociated Business Manuals
