Are you an enthusiastic History Teacher looking for your next opportunity?

A highly regarded secondary school in Bexley is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join its successful Humanities department from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or Early Career Teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of historical events, societies, and cultures. The successful candidate will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop historical knowledge, critical thinking, analytical skills, and an appreciation of the past and its impact on the modern world.

The Role

As a Teacher of History, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Inspire students through the study of British, European, and world history.

  • Plan and deliver lessons that challenge, engage, and support learners of all abilities.

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure strong outcomes.

  • Develop students' enquiry, source analysis, and critical thinking skills.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

  • Support enrichment opportunities, including educational visits and extracurricular activities.
