Thriving 11 to 18 state secondary academy based in Portsmouth Attendance Officer to lead student attendance tracking and safeguarding support Full-time role (Term-Time Only) | September start Our client is seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking Attendance Officer to join an established school in Portsmouth from September. This is a full-time position, ideal for a strong practitioner with proven pastoral impact and a clear vision for improving student engagement and tracking metrics. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day monitoring of register data and student absence patterns across the school. You will oversee daily parent communications, collaborate with heads of year, tutors, and education welfare officers to design targeted intervention plans, and ensure meticulous compliance on the school’s Management Information System (MIS) for statutory panels. The attendance and inclusion department benefits from a heavily resourced pastoral hub, modern database tracking systems, and a highly collaborative team of student welfare specialists.
