Job summary
The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Speciality Doctor (ST3+ equivalent) in Haematology. This post, whilst based at the Royal Devon and Exeter (RDE) Hospital, involves hybrid working across Eastern and Northern services. The post is based in Exeter for 3-4 days per week and in Barnstaple for 1-2 days per week. The post offered is permanent based on a full-time appointment i.e. 10 programmed activities (PAs) or 40 hours per week. This is a full-time, substantive post, Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm, with some Saturday morning cover. We are a friendly department encompassing all aspects of clinical haematology. The post will be split between outpatient clinics, the day case unit and the ward. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the post-holder will work closely with 9 consultants in haematology, an associate specialist, 2 registrars, 3 WTE specialty doctors, a core-medical trainee, our team of clinical nurse specialists and advanced nurse practitioners and the wider clinical haematology team, to provide a comprehensive range of clinical and laboratory services for patients. More detail about the role
The successful candidate must possess a basic medical qualification (e.g. MBBS or equivalent) and have full registration with the GMC. Applicants should preferably be a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent. Some experience and competence in clinical haematology is expected to meet the requirements of the post.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9-5pm with occasional Saturdays as part of the middle grade rota.
