Working closely with the Frontline Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the home, supporting a skilled and passionate team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. You will champion MacIntyre's values, lead by example and help create an environment where both the people we support and your colleagues can thrive.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week , worked flexibly across a 24-hour, 7-day rota, including weekends, bank holidays and participation in the local on-call rota , this will also include sleep-ins (£70 sleep-in rate) .
About the Role As Deputy Manager, you'll support the Frontline Manager with the smooth running of the home, ensuring that the people we support remain at the heart of everything we do.
Working alongside the Frontline Manager, you'll help lead and support a dedicated team of around 27 colleagues, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture where everyone feels valued and supported to succeed.
You will work closely with people, their families and a range of internal and external professionals to ensure personalised support is delivered in a way that reflects each person's goals, aspirations and choices.
You'll also play an important role in developing and supporting your team through coaching, mentoring and leading by example. This includes conducting regular supervisions and annual appraisals, providing constructive feedback and supporting colleagues with their ongoing learning and development.
As part of the day-to-day management of the service, you'll contribute to workforce planning by helping to create and maintain staff rotas using the Planday online scheduling system, ensuring the home is safely staffed while meeting the needs of the people we support.
You'll work alongside the Frontline Manager to maintain high standards across the service, supporting quality assurance activities, preparing for internal and external inspections and helping to ensure we continue to deliver safe, effective and person-centred support.
Whether you're supporting colleagues, strengthening community connections or helping someone achieve a personal goal, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference every day.
Most importantly, you'll share our belief that every person should have opportunities, meaningful relationships and the chance to live the life they choose.
About the Home This is a vibrant and busy home where we support 6 lively people, where there is always something happening, meaning no two days are ever the same.
One day might see Ryan* heading off to college while Luke* prepares for his volunteering role at a local café. Supporting people to pursue their interests, develop skills and achieve their goals is at the heart of what we do.
The social side of life is just as important. Karaoke nights at the local pub are always popular, and Sean* is often happiest taking centre stage with a microphone in hand. Building connections within the community and supporting people to enjoy the things they love is a key part of life here.
The home has a warm, welcoming and family feel. New team members are supported by experienced colleagues who are always happy to share their knowledge, offer guidance and help each other succeed.

Reflective supervision, coaching and mentoring to support your development as a leader.

Ready to join us? If you're looking for a leadership role where you can make a genuine difference, bring out the best in others and be part of an organisation that puts people first, we'd love to hear from you.
Join us and help create extraordinary lives through Great Interactions.
