Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
Complete MOT preparation work and undertake repairs as required.
Perform inspections and identify any additional work required.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and company standards.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with company policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Full UK Driving Licence (preferred or essential, depending on the role).
Desirable Skills
- MOT Tester qualification (advantageous but not essential).
Experience working with manufacturer diagnostic systems.
Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles is desirable.
