We are an employee-owned supported living organisation who specialise in providing bespoke packages of support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs who wish to live in the community in their own home.

We support adults & young people with learning disabilities, Autism & physical disabilities.This is an opportunity to work with and support a young gentleman with autism & a learning disability, enabling him to live an enriched life within his own home in the community.

He likes to get out in his car on a regular basis, for long drives & for visits to different venues within the North East .

He also like s to spend quiet days at home or in the garden.We are looking to recruit a F ull time Deputy Service Leader in Lemington, Newcastle upon Tyne who has the necessary values and previous experience of the role.

The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills with line managing an already well-established staff team.

This role will involve weekends, evenings & sleep-ins.£15.26 per hour & £101.68 for sleep-ins , £50 per on call day , average annual salary of £36,000+Key responsibilities -To support him to enjoy life & encourage him to develop life skillsTo assist the service manager as directed in the daily running & management of the service & induct new team members, staff supervisions & appraisals, annual leave & recording sickness, documentation for support plans, rotas and payrollTo be part of the on-call system & fully comply with Orbis Support's policy for ‘On-Call' & provide, advise & support & cover in services if necessaryTo complete daily paperwork & reports accurately when necessaryTo carry out range of household tasks, minor maintenance & repair tasks as directed, ensuring that high standards of hygiene & cleanliness are always maintainedTo promote Equality, Diversity & inclusion within Orbis SupportLiaise as required with families, carers, advocate & professionalsUndertake all other duties and tasks commensurate with scope & grade of post as directed by senior staff.

Orbis Support LTD provide support that is flexible & responsive to changing needs, from time to time the job description may be altered after appropriate consultation.
