We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager for Nights in the Chesterfield area supporting clients experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.
Hours: On Rota, nights
Contract: Temp to perm
Rate: £30450
As the Deputy Night Operations Manager, you will play a key part in supporting the Property Services & Operational Manager and Registered Manager in the smooth running of the service. You will lead and support waking-night staff, ensure the safety and welfare of young people, and maintain high standards across accommodation, documentation and service delivery.
You'll also be a role model for best practice, supporting staff development and ensuring compliance with Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations.
About the role
Ensure staff understand policies, procedures and safeguarding responsibilities.
Manage referrals and support planned transitions for young people entering the service.
Oversee incident reporting, safeguarding escalations and risk assessment reviews.
Work in partnership with external agencies and professionals.
Complete monthly case file reviews and attend safeguarding/incident meetings.
Ensure the accommodation is safe, well-maintained and welcoming.
Complete monthly health and safety audits and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
Oversee repairs, room checks and visitor management processes.
Promote independence, wellbeing and access to education, training or employment.
Support trauma-informed and strength-based approaches across the team.
Ensure young people understand their rights, complaints processes and available advocacy services.
Work occasional day shifts to attend required meetings.
Participate in a 1-in-3 weekend rota.
Manage budgets, support contract reporting and oversee local co-production initiatives.

Essential Experience & Skills
Strong safeguarding knowledge.
Experience in support planning, risk assessment and incident management.
Proven ability to supervise or manage staff.
Experience working within multiagency frameworks.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use IT systems to record information accurately.
Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Desirable
Understanding of Ofsted Supported Accommodation regulations.
Experience with systems such as Pyramid/Lief or similar.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check with barred list clearance (Children).
