Job description
Are you a proactive, highly organised facilities professional ready to oversee operational safety, site security, and estate development within a vibrant Central London college campus? This could be an exceptional opportunity to lead premises operations in an outstanding Sixth Form setting. Outstanding, high-achieving Sixth Form College located near Waterloo, Central London Premises Manager leading estate maintenance, statutory safety, and facilities operations Permanent position | Open to Full-Time or Part-Time candidates | September start Our client is seeking an experienced, practically minded Premises Manager to take strategic and day-to-day operational control of their Waterloo campus estate from September. The college is open to considering both full-time and flexible part-time working arrangements for the right facilities professional. The successful candidate will manage site security routines, oversee internal caretaking/cleaning staff, direct external sub-contractors, and track utility and building management metrics (BMS). You will take direct responsibility for maintaining immaculate, legally compliant statutory testing logs—including fire door integrity audits, emergency lighting checks, Legionella water safety cycles, and physical site security protocols. College Information This prestigious Sixth Form College in Waterloo is celebrated for its mature academic environment, excellent student outcomes, and strong support network for non-teaching faculty. Situated in a prime Central London location with excellent transport links, senior leaders provide realistic operational budgets, structured administrative assistance, and fully funded pathways for advanced professional certifications (such as IOSH or NEBOSH). Experience and Qualifications Proven experience as a premises manager, site supervisor, or commercial facilities leader (FE or secondary school experience is highly desirable) Deep working knowledge of current health and safety legislation, COSHH guidelines, and statutory building compliance data logs Practical skills in reactive building maintenance alongside strong contractor management capabilities Good IT literacy, with confidence using digital helpdesk platforms, asset management systems, and spreadsheets Application To be considered for this Premises Manager role in Waterloo starting in September, please forward your CV as soon as possible.
