Position: Technical Solutions ManagerLocation: Anywhere in the UK with occasional visits to Brighton officeSalary: £90-100k (Neg DOE) plus bonus, car/allowance and excellent benefits packageOur Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector.

They have over 1,400 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances.They have been awarded a 10-year programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Southern Water.The Role: A pivotal role within the framework with responsibility for assessing the technical elements of proposed water or wastewater treatment designs, with particular emphasis on their commercial viability and identification of risks involved with each design solution.Must be prepared to challenge technical and commercial proposals with the capability to offer solutions.You will report directly to the Head of Technical Management and you will be responsible for programme level technical governance on water projects from initial definition of need through optioneering, solution development, detail design and construction support.This a role which would appeal to Design Managers, Technical Managers or Engineering Managers who possess excellent commercial and risk assessment skills.Responsibilities: Provide technical assurance across teams of design mangers and discipline design engineers in the development of water and wastewater technical solutions from initial need statement through optioneering, solution development, value engineering, detail design and construction support.Ensure affordable design solutions are developed within project budget and solution risk is appropriately managed and communicated throughout the solution development process.Establish collaborative working relationships with the client, design teams, construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs.Ensure sustainable design solutions are completed in accordance with CDM Regulations.Ensure design solutions meet all the requirements of the programme's systems and governance procedures.Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback. xwwtmva Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.Experience:Essential:Experience of technical project delivery in a design and build environmentExperience in the Water or Wastewater Treatment IndustryDegree in an engineering-related disciplineMust be delivery-driven, able to set targets, with the ability to deliver to time, cost and quality objectivesTechnical skillsAble to identify and manage project/programme riskAble to identify and manage changes to project scopeDesirable:Chartered Engineer in an engineering-related disciplineExperience of working in Joint VenturesExperience of offsite manufactured design solutionsCompetencies:Relationship development and working with others to deliver resultsCustomer focusTaking ownership to deliver results, demonstrating resilience and driveAttention to detailResourcefulnessLeadershipPerformance MeasurementProblem SolvingDecision MakingCommercially astuteKey relationships:Head of EngineeringDesign ManagersProgramme ManagersConstruction and Delivery LeadsCommercial TeamsClientPackage includes: A competitive salaryHybrid Working (Jobs needs dependent)Car/car allowanceBonus25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy)Contribution Pension schemeLife AssuranceHealth InsurancePrivate Medical InsuranceAnd many more benefits including
