Shift Pattern: Days 5:30am to 6:15pm | 4 on, 4 off
About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver / Team Leader to join a well-established agricultural business based in Soham.
This is a hands-on position where you'll spend the majority of your time operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck while also supporting the day-to-day leadership of the warehouse team. You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, training, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
Act as the site's MHE Instructor , delivering forklift and job-specific training to warehouse operators.
Maintain and update training records and the site training matrix.
Support and supervise the warehouse team, providing guidance and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
Carry out driver assessments, mentoring, and ongoing coaching.
Conduct incident investigations and promote continuous improvements in health and safety.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, inductions, and probation reviews.
Provide operational support and cover across the team when required.
Ensure company procedures and health & safety standards are followed at all times.
What We're Looking For Essential:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence .
Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial environment.
At least 1 year's Team Leader or supervisory experience .
Minimum 3 years' warehouse experience .
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
