Year 6 Class Teacher – Full-Time | Stretford

Location: Stretford
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Start Date: September

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working alongside a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stretford to recruit a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join a supportive school community that places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, pupil achievement, and staff development. The successful candidate will play a vital role in guiding pupils through their final year of primary education, helping them build confidence, achieve their potential, and prepare for a successful transition to secondary school.

The Role

As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge learners while maintaining high expectations for attainment and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can succeed
  • Support pupils in preparing for SATs and their transition to secondary school
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to school improvement
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community
  • Take part in professional development opportunities and school events

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be confident in differentiating lessons to meet varying learning needs
  • Have a secure understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Use technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning
  • Possess excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Be committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
