The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified to 2/3 years' PQE Private Client Solicitor to join an established and supportive Private Client team based in South Woodham Ferrers.

Whether you are newly qualified or have already begun developing your Private Client career, this role offers the opportunity to build your technical expertise whilst working alongside experienced colleagues who are genuinely invested in your professional development.

You will manage your own growing caseload with appropriate supervision, gaining exposure to a broad range of Private Client matters whilst developing the confidence and technical ability needed to become a well-rounded Private Client practitioner.

The Role

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will:

• 
  
• Manage your own developing caseload of Private Client matters.

Advise clients on Wills, Probate and Estate Administration.

Prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Assist with Trust and inheritance tax matters where appropriate.

Work closely with experienced colleagues on more complex files.

Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Provide clear, practical and compassionate legal advice.

Maintain excellent standards of client care throughout every matter.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Continue developing your technical knowledge through ongoing mentoring and training.

Estate Administration

Lasting Powers of Attorney

Inheritance Tax Planning

Trust Administration

Court of Protection matters (where appropriate)

General Lifetime Planning

Private Client Advisory Work

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• 
  
• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales.

NQ to approximately 3 years' PQE within Private Client.

Experience or training across Wills, Probate and Estate Administration.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong client care and relationship-building abilities.

A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within Private Client.

Excellent organisational and file management skills.

A positive, collaborative and professional approach.

A willingness to learn and develop under the guidance of experienced practitioners.

STEP membership, or an interest in working towards STEP qualification, would be advantageous but is not essential.
