The following content displays a map of the jobs location - Hessle Monday to Friday ( some on call and out of hours may be required for night staff assessments ) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Educator to join our dedicated team. The role is predominantly office based but clinical support may be required. Coordinate and oversee training activities of the care team members to ensure compassionate, effective and efficient delivery of high-quality clinical care for service users.You will work across office, training, clinical governance, and community settings to ensure the safe, effective, and person-centred delivery of care.This includes delivering classroom and practical training, assessing staff competencies within clients homes, supporting clinical practice, participation in the on call rota, and contributing to the mobilisation and ongoing monitoring of complex care packages. Key Responsibilities * Provide specialist clinical support and guidance relating to complex clinical, respiratory and long-term ventilation care, and learning disabilities. * Support individuals requiring invasive and non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, airway management, oxygen therapy, and secretion management. * Undertake clinical assessments and contribute to care planning and risk management. * Monitor the quality and safety of clinical interventions delivered by care staff. * Support the mobilisation of new complex care packages and transitions from hospital to home. * Respond to clinical concerns and escalate issues appropriately. * Provide expert clinical guidance for high-acuity cases, including ventilator dependency and complex neurological conditions. * Be part of an on call rota for the service. * Ensure appropriate emergency and contingency planning for high-risk care packages. Qualifications & Experience * Registered Nurse (Adult/Children) with valid NMC Registration * Educated to degree level * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Excellent listening skills with an empathetic approach Minimum five years post-registration clinical experience. Experience caring for individuals requiring long-term ventilation. * Experience managing tracheostomies and respiratory support needs. * Experience delivering training and education to healthcare staff. Experience undertaking competency assessments and supervision. * Significant experience within complex community care, case management, hospital, or specialist respiratory services. * Experience mobilising new complex care packages. * Experience working with commissioners, CHC teams, case managers, and multidisciplinary professionals. * Experience in clinical governance, audit, safeguarding, and risk management. * Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
