Job Description

Morson Edge are working with a leading independent landscape architecture and planning consultancy to recruit an Experienced Landscape Planner to join their growing team based in either Manchester or Leeds .This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Chartered Landscape Planner to take on a key role within an established landscape planning team, working across a diverse portfolio of nationally significant projects.

The successful candidate will play an integral part in delivering complex planning and environmental assessments while helping to shape the continued growth of the landscape planning discipline.Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to projects spanning energy, infrastructure, residential, public sector and environmentally sensitive landscapes, with excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.The Opportunity This role is suited to an experienced Landscape Planner who enjoys taking ownership of projects, building client relationships and mentoring junior colleagues.You will be involved in all aspects of landscape planning, delivering high-quality technical assessments and planning advice while working closely with clients, planning authorities and multidisciplinary design teams.Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver landscape planning projects across a range of sectorsPrepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)Produce Landscape Character Assessments, Townscape Assessments and Landscape Capacity & Sensitivity StudiesDevelop mitigation and landscape enhancement strategiesProvide planning and environmental advice throughout the project lifecycleBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsMentor and support junior members of the teamWork collaboratively with landscape architects, planners and environmental specialistsContribute to business development and continued team growthEssential Skills & Experience Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)Minimum of 5 years' professional experience within landscape planning (10+ years desirable)Strong understanding of the UK planning systemProven experience producing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)Excellent technical report writing and analytical skillsExperience managing projects and working directly with clientsStrong communication and presentation skillsFull UK driving licenceDesirable Experience Experience working on major infrastructure or energy projectsTeam leadership or mentoring experienceEnvironmental xwwtmva Impact Assessment (EIA) experienceExperience working across both urban and rural developmentsWhat's on Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageHybrid working (typically 2 days working from home)Flexible working hoursStructured career progression with genuine opportunities for advancementPaid professional membershipEnhanced annual leave entitlementLife assurancePension schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to Work schemeVolunteering dayRegular social events and collaborative team cultureIf you are a Chartered Landscape Planner looking to join a highly regarded consultancy offering varied, high-profile projects and excellent long-term career prospects, we would be keen to hear from you.Please apply with your CV and portfolio or contact Jonah Peto at Morson Edge for a confidential discussion.E: T: M:
