About the Role Nightstop Network Officer We are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Nightstop Network Officer to support and grow our national network of Nightstop and Supported Lodgings services. Working with partners across the UK, you'll champion service quality, build influential stakeholder relationships, deliver engaging training, manage volunteers, and use data and insight to improve outcomes for young people facing homelessness. You will possess strong stakeholder engagement skills, experience delivering training and events, and a passion for improving services for vulnerable young people. Kindly note that regular UK travel is required. Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time ( 37.5 hours per week ), permanent role. We welcome applications from different parts of the country ( London, Manchester & North East ) In this role, you will: Nightstop/Supported Lodgings Delivery • As part of a team be the point of contact for any internal/external Nightstop/Supported Lodgings service enquiries nationally, responding in a timely manner with expert support, guidance and advice. • You will be responsible for the compliance of Nightstop and Supported Lodgings services and their continued accreditation. • Develop and deliver national partnerships with organisations who can support Depaul UK in growing the Nightstop network. • Develop and influence key external professional relationships with frontline and Senior Managers of partner organisations. • You will design and deliver a programme of training and events to the Nightstop network. • You will be responsible for the collection and evaluation of national data for the Nightstop network • You will write detailed reports and action plans, reporting any performance issues or concerns to the Senior Nightstop Network Manager. • Liaise with external agencies to enhance your caseload development and delivery. • You will co-ordinate and lead the Nightstop and Supported Lodgings networks for internal and external partners. Advise and support network staff regarding safeguarding concerns and report these to the Senior Nightstop Network Manager. Team Development • You will recruit, coach, supervise and motivate your team of volunteers to support the delivery of planned outcomes. • You will be responsible for providing supervision, performance management and support to your team of volunteers. Finance • You will contribute to fundraising reports, providing case studies, statistics and information where required. • You will work within budgets when planning visits to services and designing and delivering training. Administration • You will ensure compliance with Depaul UK administrative systems and standards for record keeping including Health and Safety and Incident, Safeguarding and Near Miss. • As part of a team you will co-ordinate Depaul UK’s annual Nightstop conference, ensuring it is safe and well executed, as well as an engaging and valuable opportunity for participants. • You will effectively plan travel arrangements. General responsibilities • In conjunction with your Line Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of Depaul UK. • Participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary. • Keep abreast of changes within the homelessness and wider youth sector, updating opportunities and changing our activities as necessary. • Participate in regular supervision, an annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs. • Ensure that all Depaul UK policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Code of Practice and Confidentiality. • Contribute to the effective implementation of Depaul’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy as it affects both Depaul and its work with young people. • At all times undertake your role in a professional manner maintaining a high quality standard of work, and to always work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of Depaul UK. • Any other duties commensurate with the role. About You When completing your application form please address all the points set out below. • Strong understanding and knowledge of the challenges homeless young people face • Good track record of stakeholder management including how to develop, network and influence stakeholders effectively. • Experience of designing and delivering high quality training and resources to a range of internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with both new and existing internal and external partners from frontline staff to senior management. • Ability to design, deliver and facilitate external network forums and the network national conference. • Skilled and experienced in volunteer management and good practice in this area. • Competence in or experience of implementing quality assessment and/or accreditation frameworks. • Ability to understand and analyse data accurately & effectively. • Respect for the values and ethos of Depaul UK and its founding partners. • Commitment to working in a manner, which promotes diversity and equality ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity and no one experiences discrimination. • Commitment to promoting an environment, which has the highest regard for the Health and Safety of others and a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures. • Personal and professional integrity with high level understanding of professional boundaries. • Ability to effectively reflect on own practices for ongoing learning and development. • Willingness to travel to different regions to fulfill the needs of the role, with occasional evening working.
