Summary
If you’re brilliant at organisation and creating order, and you love working with people, upholding high standards in service and presentation, then this could be the role for you.
We’re looking for a Business Services Co-ordinator to join us at Cotehele where you will be based and will primarily work, but you may also be required to work at Buckland Abbey and Antony House. This will include some weekends and bank holidays. You'll be undertaking Duty Management as required. The work pattern will be 2.5 days a week, or 3 shorter days. Depending on whether you'll be undertaking Duty Management on that day.
Due to its location, it’s likely you will need your own transport to get to the primary work place, Cotehele, and to Buckland Abbey and Antony House as required.
What it's like to work here
Cotehele is a beautiful Tudor mansion situated high above the River Tamar, with Dartmoor National Park and many unspoilt beaches nearby. The property is brimming with character, and is home to many colourful tapestries, armours and artefacts. The team pride themselves on providing superb customer service, and the family atmosphere amongst the 65-member team makes Cotehele a very special place to work.
What you'll be doing
This is a busy place, there’s a lot going on and you’ll find that no two days are the same.
Generally, you’ll be supporting day-to-day operations, and being the first person that people see when they come into the office. Your advice and experience will be sought after by others beyond the office team.
You’ll be a champion of best practice when it comes to business support, and will confidently challenge the status quo when you think there’s a better way of doing something.
You may be asked to work weekends and bank holidays, to work outside sometimes, and to support and sometimes travel to other National Trust sites, in particular you can expect to go to Buckland Abbey, Yelverton and Antony House, Torpoint which, alongside Cotehele, make up the Tamar Valley property group.
You will be a part of the Duty Management rota as required across the three properties.
Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from you if you’re:
- experienced in giving business support, along with responsibility for facilities or office supervision
- good at communicating, both in writing and speaking
- able to work as part of a team, but also on your own initiative
- flexible and focused on people
- happy to multi-task and manage your own priorities and workload
