During the recruitment process we'll discuss your experience, interests and strengths to determine which area is the best fit for you.What you'll do: Deliver personalised one-to-one and small group support for learners with SEND and additional learning needs.Empower learners to develop strategies that reduce barriers to learning and promote independence.Work collaboratively with teachers, curriculum teams, employers and external agencies to create inclusive learning environments.Carry out initial support needs assessments and contribute to individual support plans and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).Monitor learner progress, maintaining accurate records and ensuring support is tailored to individual needs.Provide advice and guidance to staff on reasonable adjustments and inclusive practice.Promote learner wellbeing, confidence and self-advocacy throughout their educational journey.Contribute to the continuous development of inclusive practice across the College.What we're looking for: Experience supporting young people or adults with SEND, learning difficulties, disabilities or additional needs.A good understanding of inclusive practice and the barriers learners may experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) or a willingness to develop this knowledge.GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or willingness to achieve Level 2).SEND-related qualifications or professional development would be advantageous, although not essential.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults.We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.Please note that this vacancy may close before the published closing date if sufficient applications are received, so if you are interested, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.To apply, you must have the right to work in the UK.
