Reporting to our Head of Finance, the Deputy Head of Finance will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business while helping to drive performance, accuracy and continuous improvement across the department.The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance expertise with excellent leadership and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the leadership and development of the finance team, providing guidance, mentoring and day-to-day supervisionAssist with preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end accounts and financial reportingOversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiencyMonitor cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activitiesEnsure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls and company proceduresAssist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors where requiredAnalyse financial data and provide insight to support commercial decision-makingWork collaboratively with department managers across the business to improve financial processes and performanceSupport implementation of financial systems and process improvementsDeputise for the Head of Finance when requiredAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is professional, proactive and eager to contribute to a growing and ambitious business.You will ideally have:Previous experience in a senior finance or management accounting roleAccounting qualifications or part/full qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent preferred)Strong knowledge of accounting principles and xwwtmva financial controlsExcellent analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detailExperience using financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamA positive, hands-on approach and willingness to support colleagues where neededWhat They Can Offer YouHealthcare plan after one year of serviceCompetitive salary based on experienceGenerous staff discount throughout the store, increasing with length of serviceMassive discount in our restaurantsLong-service awards recognising loyalty and commitmentGenerous employee referral schemeHoliday entitlement that increases with serviceMonthly employee recognition awards
