We have a dedicated Plant and Transport division that services and maintains our fleet of vehicles and plant across the business, and we are currently looking for Plant Fitter to join our existing team.
The Plant Fitter will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and safe operations of our plant machinery. The role ensures that all equipment is compliant with safety regulations, operates efficiently and supports uninterrupted site operations in compliance with legal and manufacturer standards What Youll Be Doing Technical Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, and repair plant equipment (excavators, loaders, cranes).
Carry out mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
Service and repair company vehicles.
Ensure vehicles meet roadworthiness and legal compliance standards.
Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs on site.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies.
Identify hazards and report defects or unsafe equipment immediately. Support audits and inspections.
System management: Using personally tablets, maintain service history, upload photos, etc. of assets onto ERP (COINS).
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with drivers, supervisors and management regarding equipment condition.
Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental: Support Compliance to health and safety standards within the business unit and workshop.
Always use tools, equipment and PPE correctly.

Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Full UK driving licence
