Warehouse Operative

27.5 hours per week -Monday to Friday

5.5 hours per day - 4-9:30 OR 5-10:30 pm

Job Purpose

The warehouse operative is responsible for carrying out any role required of them within the warehouse environment. To assist in the overall production and despatch of customers orders. They are responsible for the overall processing of the customer orders efficiently and to work effectively as part of a team

Key responsibilities:

• To pick and pack orders
• To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
• To keep work area clean and tidy and free from rubbish at all times
• To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards
• To achieve the targets and job standards set out by Team Leaders/Managers
• To be communicative between Team Leaders/Managers
• To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
• To perform any reasonable request from Team Leaders/Managers
• To accurately assemble items from the pick documentation and ensure that the quantity picked is accurate

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• Less than 2 years of experience in warehouse support distribution operations shipping receiving inventory control material handling or a related field required.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge in warehouse operations processes including receiving storage picking packing staging and shipping.
• Knowledge in inventory control principles stock movement tracking and material traceability requirements.
• Knowledge in temperature-controlled handling and cold chain support requirements for sensitive products and materials.
• Knowledge in packaging materials reusable shipping assets and replenishment practices within warehouse operations.
• Knowledge in shipment documentation operational recordkeeping and transaction processing requirements.
• Knowledge in safe material handling practices and the use of warehouse equipment and tools.
• Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and standardized work instructions.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and update operational information in warehouse systems and logs.
• Ability to identify inventory packaging shipment and material handling exceptions for further action.
• Ability to support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement activities.
• Ability to manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to work with temperature-sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements.
• All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medical products for Human use (2013/C 343/01) which is reflected in our SOP REF Chapter 1 NWOS GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix..
