Job description
Salary: Band 3 - starting salary £13,047 (FTE £26,093) with annual, incremental progression up to £14,016 (FTE £28,031) Hours: 18.5 hours / 2.5 days per week (pattern to be agreed on appointment) Contract Type: Permanent Closing date: 23rd of August at 11:59pm Arts University Plymouth is seeking to appoint an HR Administrator to join its Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, collaborative team at the heart of the University. As a key member of that HR team, you will provide high-quality administrative support across the employee lifecycle, helping to deliver an efficient, responsive and customer-focused HR service. Youll play an important role in supporting colleagues, candidates and managers, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and that records, systems and communications are accurate and up to date. Working closely with colleagues across the University, you will help coordinate recruitment and onboarding, maintain HR systems and records, respond to a wide range of enquiries and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and resources. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in delivering excellent service and has a keen eye for detail. About You: * Have experience working in a busy administrative environment, ideally within HR, education or another people-focused setting. * Enjoy providing excellent customer service and be confident communicating professionally with colleagues, candidates and a wide range of stakeholders. * Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks, work accurately and meet deadlines. * Have strong IT skills and be confident using a range of systems, with the ability to quickly learn new software and processes. * Be approachable, collaborative and discreet, with a strong commitment to confidentiality, continuous improvement and delivering a high-quality service. About The Role: * Be the first point of contact for HR enquiries, providing responsive administrative support and directing queries to colleagues where appropriate. * Support recruitment and onboarding activity by coordinating interviews, preparing documentation and helping to ensure candidates have a positive experience. * Maintain accurate HR records and systems, supporting the smooth flow of information between HR and departments including Payroll, IT and Estates. * Organise meetings, prepare documentation and provide administrative support across a range of HR activities and projects. * Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR procedures, guidance and online resources, helping the team deliver an efficient, professional service in support of the Universitys People Plan.
