Job Title: Copyright Analyst (12 month FTC)A little bit about our team:
The EMEA SSC Royalty & Copyright team is the engine that ensures WMGs incredible talent gets paid accurately and on time. Working closely with A&R Legal and Finance we manage the end-to-end statement and payment process for artists producers mixers and third parties including accurately accounting for our global copyright liabilities to societies like MCPS and SDRM. We are directly connected to the lifecycle of every song balancing intricate rights management with financial precision to turn creative hard work into tangible rewards.
Your role:
Reporting to the Head of UK & International Royalties you will take ownership of our quarterly and bi-annual European society registration cycles ensuring strict compliance with regional requirements. Your core focus will be maintaining data integrity through high-volume file reformatting manual cleanup and verifying label copy to guarantee accurate registrations for societies like MCPS and SDRM. Working closely with the UK Royalties and Copyright teams you will help document regional nuances and build out a sustainable knowledge base.

Manage Registration Cycles: Execute quarterly and bi-annual European society registration filings ensuring strict compliance with varying regional legal and deadline requirements.
Drive Data Quality: Perform manual data cleanup where needed and file reformatting to meet strict society acceptance criteria and prevent registration errors.
Verify Asset Details: Check and verify label copy and affiliate reporting to guarantee absolute accuracy before submissions are finalised.
Map Regional Nuances: Collaborate with the internal and external Copyright teams to identify analyze and document specific regional collection society requirements.
Build the Knowledge Base: Contribute to creating a sustainable standardised repository of copyright processes and regional compliance rules.
Improve System Workflows: Identify and report recurring data gaps and friction points during the filing process to help inform future system and process enhancements.
About you:
You have strong analytical skills with the ability to apply them calmly under pressure and manage your time effectively to hit strict society deadlines.
You are a detail-oriented professional capable of managing high release volumes while navigating complex territory-specific compliance rules.
You have proficiency in data manipulation (such as Excel/Sheets) and a willingness to adapt to new automated system workflows.
You enjoy looking for process improvements and identifying efficiencies with a view to achieving best working practices for the team.
