Palladium is recruiting for aCommunications Senior Associate (Editorial and Digital Content)to join the UK PACT Communications team. This UK-based hybrid role will support the delivery of strategic communications across the UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) programme.
About UK PACT
UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) is a flagship ODA technical assistance programmefunded by the UK Government. It supports countries with high mitigation potential providing them withtheexpertisethey need to cut emissions quickly and grow their economy sustainably. Running since 2018itworksin partnership with over 20 countries in Africa Asia and Latin America to tackle the most pressingclimate issues they face across forests and land use energy finance governance and transport and cities. UKPACT deploys in-countryand international expertise as well asleveragingthe UKs world class public andprivate sector experts to deliver impactful and long-lasting change.
ThisOpportunity:
Palladiumis seeking an Communications Senior Associate (Editorial and Digital Content)to supportthe UK PACT programme. Thepostholder will play a key role in identifying and developing compellingstories of change translating complex technical work into clear engagingnarratives that demonstrate impact value for money and alignment with UKgovernment priorities. The Senior Associate will lead on content planning anddevelopment ensuring a strong pipeline of high-quality communications andwill work closely with UK PACTs Communication Manager to delivery astreamlined communications strategy across global portfolio.
This is an opportunity to shape communications for one of the UK Governments flagship international climate programmes helping tell stories of impact from over 20 countries and engaging key audiences including governments funders delivery partners and climate stakeholders.
The idealcandidate will have at least 4 years of relevant experienceworking in editorial digitalcontent delivery and stakeholder engagement preferably within a publiclyfunded or international development programme.
This is a fulltime UKbased hybrid project roleon a fixedterm contract from September 2026 initially to 31March 2027 with potential for extension subject toindividual performance and programmecontinuation.
Location:
This role is ideally based in Palladiums London or Bristol office.Candidates must have current work authorisation in the UK as visa sponsorshipis not available at this time. Applications from outside the UK may be consideredsubject to Palladiums registration status and timezonecompatibility with the UK.
Palladium typically supportsa hybrid working schedule of 3 days in office 2 days from home.
Reporting Lines:
The Senior Associate will report to theUK PACT Communications Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
1- Content leadership and storytelling
- Lead and coordinate the development of high-quality content across UK PACT under the strategic direction of the Communications Manager.
- Identify and shape compelling stories of change that clearly articulate the what why and how of UK PACTs work
- Support the Communications Manager in developing and refining key messaging aligned with FCDO priorities
- Apply sound editorial judgement to identify potential reputational risks in content and messaging and assess opportunities to strengthen positioning escalating where appropriate
2- Digital and platform management
- Manage day-to-day content planning and publishing across channels
- Support the maintenance and improvement of UK PACTs website
- Ensure quality control and consistency of tone messaging and branding across outputs
- Input on tracking and reporting against platform KPIs including engagement reach and follower growth providing insight to inform strategic decisions and optimise performance
- Develop and draft engaging social media content including short-form video scripts carousels and infographics including supporting the delivery of the UK PACT LinkedIn strategy
3- Stakeholder management and coordination
- Work alongside the Communications Manager to manage relationships with key stakeholders across the programme including FCDO counterpart governments and implementing partners
- Coordinate with FCDO embassies and High Commissions to align messaging and maximise amplification
4- Planning insight and quality assurance
- Support forward planning editorial calendars and content pipelines including fund-level communications plans aligned to the Global Communications Strategy
- Ensure all outputs meet quality accuracy and approvals requirements in line with UK government standards
- Work with the Communications Manager to produce regular performance insights using data to strengthen content and communications approaches
Essential Criteria:
- Approximately 4 years of relevant professional experience in communications digital content delivery and editorial leadership
- Excellent editorial judgement with strong writing editing and proofreading skills including ability to review and quality-assure content drafted by others and to write blogs and other long-form pieces when required
- Experience working closely with senior colleagues and providing advice on communications strategy including coordinating approvals and supporting the delivery of strategic communications plans.
- Proven experience developing content for digital platforms particularly LinkedIn
- Experience using design tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Express to create digital communications assets.
- Experience using digital analytics and performance data to inform content and communications strategy.
- Ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture linking communications activity to wider programme goals and external context
- Professional fluency in English
Desired Criteria:
- Experience working on government-funded programmes
- Knowledge of climate change energy transition or sustainable development
- Experience working across multi-country or fund-based programmes
- Familiarity with value for money and results frameworks
- Experience of managing relationships with suppliers and consultants (e.g. designers AV event/platform providers) including developing briefs and reviewing deliverables
- Experience contributing to website content optimisation and user experience (UX) improvements.
- Experience delivering online events/webinars and managing email/mailing lists (CRM or equivalent) including supporting communications for Calls for Proposals and partner engagement

This is a fast-paced role working in close partnership with the Communications Manager across a complex global programme. The successful candidate will be confident leading and coordinating the development of high-quality communications content balancing hands-on delivery with strategic thinking. They will be able to see the bigger picture identify opportunities to strengthen UK PACTs communications and apply sound judgement to ensure outputs are engaging effective and aligned with programme and UK Government priorities.
