Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Tamworth Salary:£95 - £110 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you passionate about supporting young people with behavioural and emotional needs? GSL Education are seeking dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentors to work in schools across Tamworth. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them develop confidence, self-regulation, and positive attitudes towards education. Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor: * Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support for students * Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges * Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning * Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans * Build strong, positive relationships with students to encourage progress * Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support student wellbeing * Monitor and record student behaviour and development * Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Behaviour Mentor Requirements: * Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable * A calm, patient, and resilient approach * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively * A genuine passion for supporting young people * Experience in education, youth work, coaching, or care settings is beneficial * An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
