Were looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Module Leader to lead this module and provide an engaging learning experience for our offer:Flexible annualised working a 0.2 FTE role (approximately one day per week) with teaching dates agreed annually in advanceGenerous leave allowance up to 33 days of annual leave including bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time roles)Professional development support training CPD and opportunities to grow your expertiseA supportive academic community work alongside experienced colleagues who are passionate about delivering outstanding acupuncture -site free parking in city-centre YorkA meaningful role in a values-led educational charity shaping the future of acupuncture educationAbout the role:Were looking for a qualified and practising acupuncturist with up-to-date knowledge of acupuncture practice to lead our Being & Becoming module on the BSc (Hons) Acupuncture is a key academic leadership role responsible for ensuring the module is delivered to the highest standards while providing students with an engaging learning experience that supports their personal and professional closely with the Course Lead fellow Module Leaders and teaching team youll oversee module delivery assessment quality assurance and curriculum enhancement ensuring the module remains integrated within the wider details:Location: YorkHours: 0.2 FTE (approximately one day per week annualised)Working pattern: Includes scheduled weekend teaching and attendance at key academic meetings throughout the yearSalary: Spinal Point 22: 8124.46 (full-time equivalent 40622.40)Reporting to: Course LeadStart date: 1st September 2026What youll be doing:As Module Leader youll provide academic leadership for the Being & Becoming module ensuring students receive an engaging reflective and high-quality educational will:Lead the planning delivery and continuous development of the Being & Becoming and support the module teaching team including providing guidance to lecturers and tutors to deliver engaging student-centred and deliver teaching sessions within your area of the assessment process including assessment design marking moderation and quality the recruitment induction and ongoing development of lecturers and tutors within the module module quality review student feedback and implement ongoing collaboratively with other Module Leaders Clinic Supervisors and the Course Lead to ensure the module integrates effectively across the academic guidance and pastoral support to students including acting as a Personal Development in College training peer review and annual development activities to support continuous reports on student and module performance for College to curriculum development accreditation activities and quality enhancement across the in assessment boards Boards of Study Module Leaders meetings and College development as a positive role model within the College community demonstrating high standards of professional practice and alignment with NCAs were looking for:Essential:A qualified and practising acupuncturist. Experience teaching within higher education or professional subject knowledge relating to acupuncture and professional designing and delivering engaging teaching including online learning where of assessment marking and maintaining academic organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple written and verbal communication problem-solving skills and attention to using Microsoft Office applications.A collaborative reflective and compassionate approach to working with students and :Experience leading or coordinating a module or curriculum supporting curriculum development or quality of Moodle SharePoint or other virtual learning acting as a Personal Tutor or providing pastoral of higher education quality assurance and validation by: COB Monday 17th August 2026Invitation to interview will be sent on Wednesday 19th August 2026Interviews: Held online on Friday 21st Auust 2026If youre invited for interview we would like you to give us a ten-minute presentation about how personal and professional development are interlinked for acupuncturists.
