Job descriptionSite Supervisor - Secondary School - Chester Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Dependent on experience Site Supervisor A successful Secondary School in Chester is seeking a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to join its experienced premises team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school's buildings and grounds remain well maintained, allowing staff and students to focus on teaching and learning. Working closely with the Site Manager and School Business Manager, you will carry out daily opening and closing procedures, complete regular site inspections and respond promptly to maintenance requests. You will undertake minor repairs, monitor the condition of classrooms and communal areas and ensure all facilities remain safe, clean and fit for purpose. You will also supervise contractors working on site, monitor maintenance schedules, support planned preventative maintenance and ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations. The role includes preparing the school for examinations, assemblies, performances, open evenings and community lettings, ensuring facilities are always presented to a high standard. Additional responsibilities include maintaining external grounds, monitoring security systems, assisting with deliveries, moving furniture and equipment and reporting any maintenance issues that require specialist attention. The successful candidate will possess excellent practical skills, strong organisational abilities and a proactive approach to maintaining a high-quality learning environment.
