Job description

Job Overview Are you passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people and their families? We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with experience, or placement experience, in mental health or working with young people and families. You will have strong communication and engagement skills and be committed to supporting young people with complex mental health needs. This exciting role is within the CAMHS Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team and forms part of the Occupational Therapy Risk Pathway across inpatient and community services. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to young people experiencing mental health crises. You will support recovery by building strengths, developing coping strategies, improving daily functioning, and promoting engagement in meaningful activities. The post offers excellent opportunities for clinical development, CPD, supervision, reflective practice, and quality improvement work. Flexible working will be supported where possible. A UK driving licence and access to a car during working hours are essential. Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities) * To provide occupational assessment, intervention, and review for a caseload of young people while maintaining delivery of the highest standard of care consistently and safely. * To ensure that case management uses evidence based, client centred, recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice. * To improve the day to day lives of young people and enable them to avoid future health inequities. * To liaise with outpatient Occupational Therapists and other professionals where appropriate to facilitate discharge planning and further referrals. * To offer professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team. * To feed into wider CRHT (CRISIS Home Treatment) care planning and formulation. * To work with and liaise with our other Occupational Therapist who support in delivering the Occupational Therapy Risk pathway, which covers across Crisis, Intensive community support team and inpatient unit.
