Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Reading Start Date: ASAP Pay Scale: £90.00 - £105.00 per day

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education and mental health? Do you aspire to build a career in psychology, therapy, or educational support?

A supportive and inclusive Specialist School in Reading is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to gain hands-on experience supporting children with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

The successful Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping to support their academic progress, emotional regulation, and social development.

This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role will involve: * Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs * Assisting with behaviour management and emotional support strategies * Supporting the development of communication and social skills * Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff * Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

The ideal Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant will have a degree in Psychology (or a related field) and a strong interest in working with children with SEN.

This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant position offers ongoing training, support from experienced staff, and excellent opportunities for career progression.
