The Opportunity Our client is a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major rail and highways projects across the UK. They are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting the successful delivery of multiple projects, based in Eastbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a well-established business working on high-profile infrastructure schemes. Key Responsibilities As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from contract award through to final account. Your duties will include: Managing the financial and contractual performance of allocated projects. Monitoring project costs, forecasts, profitability and cash flow. Preparing and maintaining accurate cost plans, financial reports and project forecasts. Administering contracts in line with contractual obligations and change control procedures. Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities. Supporting procurement activities, including subcontractor selection and appointment. Managing subcontractor accounts, including valuations, payments, variations and final accounts. Preparing, negotiating and agreeing claims where required. Producing monthly commercial reporting, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), cost reports and commercial commentaries. Attending...
