Description and Requirements
As an ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) Solution Sales Specialist, you will work at the forefront of some of the most exciting changes happening in technology today, helping customers build the infrastructure that powers AI, hybrid cloud, data driven decision making and digital transformation. From global enterprises to public sector organizations, you'll help customers solve complex business challenges through innovative solutions spanning servers, storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, edge computing and AI ready platforms.
This is more than a sales role. You'll be a trusted advisor, shaping technology strategies that enable organizations to innovate faster, operate smarter and unlock the value of their data. Working alongside Lenovo's technical experts, partners and wider sales teams, you'll help customers confidently navigate their infrastructure and AI journeys.
What you’ll do
•Partner with Sales Client Managers to identify, qualify and progress ISG opportunities across assigned customers and territories.
•Scope and position infrastructure solutions across Lenovo’s ISG portfolio, including servers, storage, HCI, AI ready infrastructure and edge solutions.
•Translate technical requirements into clear customer value, helping stakeholders understand business impact, return on investment and practical implementation considerations.
•Lead customer discussions, solution workshops and presentations with business and technical decision makers.
•Work with Lenovo technical architects, ISG Technical Sellers, Services Sales Executives, Inside Sales, channel partner sellers and other specialists to build strong customer proposals.
•Support bids, RFI and RFP responses with accurate solution input and clear commercial rationale.
•Build and manage a healthy pipeline, keeping opportunities, risks, next steps and forecast updates clear and current.
•Look for share of wallet growth by identifying new infrastructure opportunities within existing accounts.
What you’ll bring
•Experience in technology sales, ideally within infrastructure, data center, hybrid cloud, enterprise solutions or a related area.
•Strong curiosity for infrastructure technology and the confidence to learn, explain and position technical solutions with customers.
•The ability to turn technical detail into a clear business conversation.
•Strong consultative selling, negotiation and communication skills.
•Commercial discipline across pipeline creation, opportunity qualification, forecasting and deal progression.
•A collaborative style, with the ability to work across sales, technical teams, services, partners and specialists.
•Good organization and prioritization, with the ability to manage several opportunities at pace.
•A customer focused approach and the confidence to challenge constructively when it helps create a better outcome.
•Experience working with channel partners or in a matrix sales environment.
•Experience supporting complex bids, customer workshops or multi stakeholder sales opportunities.
