Job description

We are looking for a

highly motivated individual, with excellent communication skills, experienced in recruiting and consenting participants in-to clinical studies and trials, working within a large research team which includes students, postdoctoral researchers, technicians, clinicians, medical professionals and administrators. As a member of the research team your role will involve a combination of patient orientated care, obtaining samples from study participants according to study schedules and research requirements, basic processing of laboratory samples, recording of research data, coordinating study visits, liaising with the laboratory and clinical team along with study administrators and other parties. The successful candidate will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy.Supporting the research team your role will also involve administrative duties associated with the management of the respiratory research studies and other tasks of relevance to the research group. You will work in accordance with current regulations, the Research Governance Framework, the International Conference on Harmonisation Tripartite Guideline for Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) and study specific protocols in conjunction with local policies and procedures. An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality is essential. This post is full-time and fixed term for 2 years The post is only available as full-time on-site. About You To be considered for this position you should; • Experience of working in a clinical or laboratory environment. • Degree (BSc) in a science or health-related subject, or equivalent relevant experience. • GCP certification. • Experience in clinical research, ideally within a higher education or NHS setting. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to data collection and documentation. • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. • Good organisational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
