Leeds Trinity University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Children, Young People and Families to teach across our undergraduate, postgraduate and work-based provision. Based in the School of Education and Childhood, you will contribute to an inclusive and applied curriculum that prepares students for effective professional practice with children, young people, families and communities. You will lead and deliver modules, design and assess learning, supervise projects and placements, provide academic and personal tutoring, and contribute to programme development, quality assurance, recruitment and student retention.
We are looking for a colleague with strong and current knowledge of the children, young people and families sector, supported by a relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience. You will be able to teach broadly across the portfolio, integrate theory with applied practice, provide timely and developmental feedback, and support students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Experience of professional education, placement learning, values-based recruitment and working with external partners and stakeholders will be particularly valuable.
You will be motivated, proactive and committed to collaborative and inclusive working. Alongside teaching, you will maintain currency in professional and academic practice and contribute to research, scholarship, knowledge exchange, continuing professional development and/or professional practice activity appropriate to your career stage. You will help us equip students with the knowledge, confidence, digital capability and transferable skills they need to succeed in employment and throughout their careers.
