Legal Secretary – Residential ConveyancingLocation: NorwichJob Type: Full Time | PermanentSalary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Are you an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in Residential Conveyancing? We're working with a well-established law firm that is looking to expand its Conveyancing team with the addition of an organised, proactive and professional Legal Secretary. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team where you'll play a key role in providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to experienced fee earners while enjoying a fantastic benefits package and genuine long-term career stability.The Role As a Legal Secretary within the Residential Conveyancing team, you'll be responsible for supporting solicitors throughout the conveyancing process, ensuring matters progress smoothly and clients receive an excellent service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing comprehensive secretarial support to Conveyancing fee earners.
  • Preparing, formatting and drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Audio and copy typing.
  • Managing files and maintaining accurate case records.
  • Assisting with billing and financial administration.
  • Liaising professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties.
  • General administrative support to ensure the department runs efficiently.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant within Residential Conveyancing (essential).
  • Fast and accurate typing and strong IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • A professional, friendly and approachable manner.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
The Opportunity
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience.
