Job description

Looking for a Health & Social Care with Childhood Development Teacher in Sheffield! Job Title: Health & Social Care with Childhood Development Teacher Location: Sheffield Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time Start Date: Immediately Are you a passionate Health & Social Care Teacher with experience in Childhood Development who enjoys preparing students for rewarding careers in care, health and early years education? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is looking for a dedicated teacher to join their team immediately. About the Role As a Health & Social Care with Childhood Development Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and Post-16 where appropriate, helping students develop both subject knowledge and practical understanding of health, social care and child development. You will plan and assess learning effectively, encourage independent thinking and support students as they work towards vocational and academic qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire learners considering future careers in these important sectors. Responsibilities * Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care and Childhood Development lessons. * Assess, monitor and record student progress. * Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of individual students. * Deliver both theoretical and practical elements of the curriculum where appropriate. * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. * Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. * Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate. * Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate. Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. * Experience teaching Health & Social Care and/or Childhood Development within a secondary school or further education setting. * Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of relevant qualifications. * Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. * Strong communication and organisational skills. * An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
