Job description
CNC Turner (Programmer / Setter / Operator) Location: Kingston upon Thames (KT3) Salary: £20-£22 per hour (dependent on experience) Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner (Programmer / Setter / Operator) to join our skilled engineering team based in Kingston upon Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable machinist who enjoys working on precision engineering projects and takes pride in producing high-quality, low-volume components. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating a Doosan Puma 2600 CNC lathe with C and Y Axis capability. The role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, the ability to programme machines from scratch, and confidence working independently to produce complex components to exacting standards. This position would suit an experienced CNC Turner who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working on small-batch, high-precision engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Programme, set, and operate a Doosan Puma 2600 single-turret CNC lathe Utilise C Axis and Y Axis machining capabilities to produce complex components Create, write, prove, and edit CNC programmes using machine controls Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies to achieve optimum results Set machines efficiently, including tooling changes, offsets, work holding, and first...
