Job description
Tax Director – Accountancy PracticeLocation: Northwest LondonSalary: Up to £90k, depending on experienceSheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Northwest London, who are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join their senior leadership team.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional to play a key role in shaping the future growth of the firm, leading client relationships, developing the tax offering and providing strategic advice to a diverse portfolio of clients.As Tax Director, you will take responsibility for overseeing the firm’s tax advisory services, supporting clients with complex tax matters and contributing to wider business strategy. You will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders while managing and developing a talented tax team.Key responsibilities as the Tax Director:
  • Leading and developing the tax function, ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Providing expert tax advice to a portfolio of private clients and businesses
  • Managing complex tax planning and advisory projects
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Supporting the development of junior team members and promoting a culture of learning
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to deliver a comprehensive service offering
  • Contributing to the strategic direction and continued growth of the practice
The successful Tax Director will be an experienced tax professional with a strong background gained within an accountancy practice environment. You will be commercially focused, client-oriented and confident operating at a senior level.You will ideally have:
  • Significant experience in tax advisory roles within practice
  • Strong technical knowledge across a range of tax areas
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering tailored advice
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and strategic approach to business development
