Our client is seeking a Caretaker to join a well-regarded secondary school in Staffordshire. This is a full-time position to begin April 2026, supporting the day-to-day running, safety, and maintenance of the school site.

The successful Caretaker will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, clean, secure, and fully operational. Working closely with the Site Manager and senior leadership team, this role offers variety, responsibility, and long-term stability within a supportive school setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Opening and securing the school site
• Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
• Monitoring site security, alarms, and CCTV
• Supporting health and safety compliance and fire safety checks
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing works on site
• Maintaining external areas including playgrounds and grounds
• Assisting with room setups for events and examinations
Experience and Qualifications
• Previous caretaking or site experience preferred
• Practical skills across maintenance and repairs
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Reliable, proactive, and flexible approach
• Legal right to work in the UK
