This Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead role involves working 20 hours per week over 41 term-time weeks per year. The role pays on Scale K of the Support Staff pay scale offering a pro-rata salary of K30 £18,541.78 up to K33 £ 19,942.99 (K30 £37,263 up to K33 £40,079 FTE).
Safeguarding sits at the heart of Windsor Forest Colleges Group, and as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at Strode's College, you will play a central role in protecting, supporting, and advocating for our vibrant student community. Reporting directly to the Director of Safeguarding (DSL) and Wellbeing, this role shares essential responsibility for embedding statutory safeguarding standards, promoting an environment free from discrimination and harassment, and upholding student wellbeing and morale across the campus.
Beyond day-to-day welfare monitoring, your duties will focus heavily on case management, inter-agency collaboration, and statutory intervention. You will represent the college in key multi-agency forums, including Child Protection conferences, Early Help Assessments (EHA), Team Around the Family (TAF), Child in Need (CiN), and Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings, while contributing directly to Section 17/Section 47 assessments ...
