Job description

Our Cyber Risks team provides end-to-end support — from incident response and breach management to litigation, regulatory notifications, and claims resolution. We handle thousands of incidents and pride ourselves on delivering practical, commercially focused solutions in a fast-evolving threat landscape.

The Role

As a Senior Cyber Claims Handler, you will play a key role in managing cyber insurance claims arising from data breaches, ransomware attacks, business interruption, and other cyber events. You will work closely with our lawyers, technical experts, insurers, and clients to ensure efficient, fair, and timely resolution of claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and assess cyber claims, including reviewing incident reports, forensic findings, coverage analysis, and quantum.

• Manage the end-to-end claims process: from notification through to settlement, including coordination with breach response teams, legal counsel, and third-party experts.

• Liaise with policyholders, brokers, and insurers to gather information, negotiate resolutions, and mitigate losses.

• Support regulatory notifications (e.g., GDPR, data protection authorities) and manage potential subrogation or recovery actions.

• Analyse trends in cyber claims to contribute to risk insights and improve claims handling processes.

• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to stakeholders using our case management systems.

• Collaborate with our global cyber team on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.

About You

Experience: 3+ years in insurance claims handling, with exposure to cyber, professional indemnity, or technology-related claims. Experience in a law firm, insurer, or broker environment is highly desirable.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of cyber risks, data privacy laws (GDPR, etc.), and cyber insurance policy wordings. Familiarity with incident response processes is a plus.

Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Qualifications: Relevant insurance qualifications (e.g., CII) or legal/paralegal background preferred. Degree-level education or equivalent.

Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, resilient, and client-focused with a genuine interest in the cyber insurance space.

What We Offer

• Opportunity to work on high-profile cyber matters with a market-leading team.

• Comprehensive training and career progression within a growing global practice.

• Hybrid working, flexible arrangements, and a supportive, collaborative culture.

• Competitive salary, performance-related bonus, and a strong benefits package.
