Job description

About the Role
A successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 to 5 within a well-established department that promotes curiosity, analytical thinking and a global outlook.

The Department and Facilities
The Geography department is a thriving part of the Humanities faculty and enjoys a strong reputation for academic achievement, creativity and collaboration. What You’ll Be Doing
You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire learners, helping them develop geographical knowledge, data analysis skills and an appreciation of human and physical environments. Lessons are designed to be engaging, relevant and ambitious, supporting excellent outcomes at both GCSE and A-Level.

In addition, you’ll:

  • Support students preparing for examinations through tailored intervention and mentoring
  • Lead or assist with enrichment activities such as trips, clubs and competitions
  • Contribute to resource development and departmental innovation
  • Play an active part in the wider school community

About You
You’ll bring:

  • QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography and a genuine enthusiasm for the discipline
  • A reflective and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
  • Commitment to fostering curiosity and environmental awareness in young people
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and high-performing team
